Giving Day 2025 sets another record, raising more than $1M

You did it again, Lumberjacks—you set a record on NAU Giving Day!

For the third year in a row, the global Lumberjack community’s generosity resulted in a record-breaking day of fundraising on Giving Day, which took place on May 1. Jacks came together to raise $1,080,695 for high-impact research projects, scholarships for students in need, emergency funds, student groups and more. That’s nearly $300,000 more than last year’s (also record-shattering) total.

The NAU community didn’t just open their wallets—they also gave their time, talents and school spirit. Employees turned out to volunteer, running tables, giving out swag and encouraging their fellow Jacks to give. NAU’s Army ROTC and Air Force ROTC cadets battled it out in an early morning CrossFit session to raise awareness for Giving Day. And alumni in four cities, from Flagstaff to Washington, D.C., gathered at pubs and breweries to show support for their alma mater.
