It’s time to kick axe, Lumberjacks: Giving Day is almost here!

Louie the Lumberjack holds out an NAU Giving Day cookie.

On April 3, the Lumberjack community is invited to show their support for the university they love and the programs about which they are passionate. This year marks the sixth annual NAU Giving Day, a 24-hour online fundraising event and a chance to spread Axe of Kindness and your love of the blue and gold. It is your opportunity to turn one day of giving into 365 days of impact. Since 2019, Giving Day has raised more than $1.9 million and funded scholarships, emergency aid for students, research funding, study abroad support and so much more!  With more than 400 causes to support, your Axe of Kindness impacts every aspect of the NAU experience.

Here is how you can support Lumberjacks.

Give.

Take the leap and donate! Whether it’s a big amount or just a few bucks, every bit helps our Lumberjack community, present and future.

Plus, if you’re among the first 1,000 to donate $75 or more, you’ll snag some snazzy, limited-edition NAU socks. Talk about walking around with Lumberjack pride!

Rock your True Blue and Gold.

Sport your favorite T-shirt, hoodie, hat and of course your socks from previous years!

Need a little extra blue and gold in your day? Swing by the Giving Day booths at the Flagstaff Mountain campus or in Yuma, or follow along virtually on social media.

Share.

Got a story from your college days? A favorite memory, professor or moment? Share it on social with #NAUGivingDay. Help us spread the word and inspire others to give back on April 3. With cool social media graphics, post ideas and Zoom backgrounds, the #NAUGivingDay toolkits have you covered.

Serve.

Don’t miss out on the fourth annual Student Organization Service Day happening from 1:30-4:30 p.m. on April 3. Meet on the west lawn of the University Union to team up, then head out to clean up our beautiful campus. Learn more about Service Day and sign up online.

With a multitude of ways to get involved, including challenges, you can double or even triple the impact of your Axe of Kindness on April 3.  Whether you support your favorite college or department or join in person at Mother Road Brewing Company, participating in challenges is a great way to amplify your NAU Giving Day support.
