Every October, the NAU Police Department participates in the Pink Patch Campaign to promote breast cancer awareness by designing and wearing a custom pink patch. For the 2023 campaign, NAUPD collaborated with the Partnership for Native American Cancer Prevention on the design of the patch. This year’s patch features tribal inspired elements, as well as the partnership’s logo. The design highlights the partnership between NAU, University of Arizona, the National Cancer Institute and Arizona’s tribal communities. Learn about the symbols and imagery on the patch.
To get your own pink patch, NAUPD is accepting cash donations of $10 or more—all proceeds from this year’s campaign will benefit The Partnership for Native American Cancer Prevention. Donations will be accepted at the NAUPD table set up outside section 216 on the Skydome concourse during the Lumberjacks’ home football games in October or in person at the NAU Police Department, 525 E. Pine Knoll Drive, Bldg. 98A.
Help NAUPD and The Partnership for Native American Cancer Prevention put the cuffs on cancer!
