Former College of Education dean dies

Charles E. Fauset, a former professor and dean of the College of Education, died April 27. He was 90.

Dr. Fauset taught at NAU for 30 years, retiring in 1982.

Born in 1917 to Clyde and Anna Fauset in Indiana, Dr. Fauset earned his doctorate degree from Indiana State University. During World War II, he was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army.

Dr. Fauset is survived by sons, Chris (Renee) Fauset of Flagstaff and Craig Fauset of Texas; daughters, Carol (John) Cook of Washington and Cathy (Jimmy) Mullenax of Texas; sister, Mary Brooks and a niece, both of Kansas; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Chrystal Fauset.
