Facing the future: NAU seeks input on strategic plan

Northern Arizona University has been gaining momentum, and faculty, staff and students are being urged to help keep the pace going.

“Thanks to the hard work of the entire NAU community, the institution has reached goals that years ago seemed unachievable,” said NAU President John Haeger. “Now it’s time to continue that drive forward.”

The president has released a new brochure that reviews highlights of NAU’s accomplishments and discusses some of the institution’s goals. The brochure, 2006-2011 Strategic Plan: Pathways to Success, will be mailed soon.

It is a call to action for all students, faculty and staff to become involved in planning the next several years at NAU.

The Strategic Planning Council soon will begin reaching out to campus to identify critical funding priorities and institutional direction that will provide the framework for NAU’s future.

“It’s important that we have input and involvement,” Haeger said. “This is an important way for you to have your voice heard and plan for the future of this institution.”

A web site and e-mail address have been set up for anyone interested in participating. Go to www.nau.edu/getinvolved for information or send comments to getinvolved@nau.edu.
