A two-time NAU graduate with strong ties to Flagstaff and Arizona has been invited to campus as the top candidate for the university’s executive vice president/chief of staff.
Joanne Keene, government relations director for Coconino County, will visit campus Wednesday, March 4, to meet with vice presidents and other individuals. An open session is scheduled from 3 to 3:45 p.m. in room 206 of the Babbitt Administrative Center, building 51.
“I was pleased with the number of highly qualified individuals who expressed their desire to be a part of the NAU team,” President Rita Cheng said. “One person stood out. In addition to two degrees from NAU, she has many years of government and communication experience.”
Keene has worked for Coconino County since 2007 and has experience in the private sector and government experience at the gubernatorial and congressional levels.
Feedback regarding the candidate can be sent to Sarah Bickel.
