Interested in being an election worker?

The Coconino County elections office is looking for election board workers for Election Day on Tuesday, Nov. 5.

Election workers can volunteer in Flagstaff or, if you don’t mind a little travel, work in other parts of the county; the county elections office pays for transportation and lodging.

Jobs include polling location inspector, ballot judge, provisional clerk, marshal and more. Board workers attend a two-hour training and a one-hour pre-election meeting on Nov. 4, and they must be registered voters who are fluent in English. The county also needs workers who are fluent in Spanish and Navajo to help voters at the polls.

Paid activities are not eligible for NAU’s community engagement time. NAU employees who choose to participate in paid election activity should use vacation hours for time worked during normal business hours.
