Distance Learning earns national praise

The U.S. Distance Learning Association, the nation’s premier distance learning organization, honored NAU’s Distance Learning with the 2007 21st Century Best Practice Distance Learning Award.

The award is given to an institution with qualities of outstanding leadership, innovation and technology in the field of distance learning.

“I am pleased that NAU is recognized as a national leader in providing access for students to higher education using distance learning,” saidĀ Fred Hurst, vice president for extended programs and dean of Distance Learning. “The USDLA award reinforces NAU’s reputation for quality off-campus academic programs and student services.”
