Activity on the Flagstaff campus is shifting into high gear with ongoing and new construction projects.
Fences have already gone up for construction of the North Campus Athletics and Recreation Center. The building, which is to be located on the Wall Aquatic Center field, will be under construction through 2016.
In August, a new 95,000-square-foot Student and Academic Services Building will break ground and eventually will provide students with a one-stop shopping experience.
In preparation for the projects, vehicle and pedestrian traffic will be modified during the summer. Beginning May 12, McCreary Street will close to vehicle and pedestrian traffic. Access to the Science and Health Building through Tormey Street also will close on May 12. Traffic lanes on San Francisco Street will temporarily be diverted into one lane beginning June 30.
