Construction brings summer traffic changes

Installation of utilities and other projects for the hotel-conference center complex will mean some traffic changes on north campus throughout the summer.

Dupont Avenue will be closed west of Humphreys beginning Monday, May 14, and Knoles Drive will be closed south of the Blome building. The concrete planters will be relocated to allow traffic to turn around in McMullen Circle.

Pedestrian detours will permit foot traffic in the area.

A few parking spots on Knoles near Old Main and between the North Union and North Morton will be unavailable during the construction.

The roads are expected to reopen when fall classes resume.

Capital Assets and Services has scheduled a meeting to explain the traffic control changes at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 10, in conference room A in the Capital Assets building, number 77.
