Campus to celebrate Earth Day

The university’s annual Earth Day Celebration on April 21 will bring together music, food and eco-friendly information and activities for a daylong tribute to environmentalism. The event is hosted by the student-led Society of Environmental Communicators.

Faculty, staff, students and members of the Flagstaff community are invited to celebrate Earth Day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday in the Tinsley, Wilson, Allen quad with free food and live music from Livelihood, Boxcar Stranglers and Great Acoustic Guitar. More than 30 booths will display environmental information, and contestants will compete in a vegan bake-off at
1 p.m.

Other activities include a bicycle repair workshop, volleyball, a bug show and an environmental career search workshop and more.
