Did you know that if you’re a Flagstaff mountain campus student enrolled in summer classes, you maintain your access to Campus Health Services (CHS) over the summer? Don’t miss out on health and recreation services like counseling, medical care, the gym and more at the Health and Learning Center while completing your summer courses.
Those not enrolled for the summer or enrolled as online students can access Campus Health and Campus Recreation by paying the Health and Recreation Access Fee.
If you are graduating from NAU this spring, start preparing now to make sure there are no disruptions in your medical wellness. First, continue to make use of CHS resources on campus before you leave, like STI testing, physical exams and preventative health visits.
Next, ensure your vaccinations are up to date and download your health record from the CHS patient portal. Make a plan for insurance, primary care and counseling support to ensure you are supported in your health and wellness after graduation.
“Be sure to take advantage of services at CHS before heading to your next adventure,” said Mark Pico, director of CHS Medical Services. “For continuing or new students, Campus Health Services and Campus Recreation are both located in the Health and Learning Center and represent valuable and complementary ways to stay healthy this summer, as well as address any lingering concerns from springtime or anticipatory needs before the fall semester.”
When looking for an off-campus primary care provider, consider asking trustworthy family members, friends or coworkers for recommendations; consulting medical centers near you; or checking your insurance company’s provider directory. Until then, look to Campus Health for ways to make your health care transition as smooth as possible.
