Gear up for Bike to Work Week

Bike to Work Week

Bike to Work WeekFlagstaff commuters will hit the bike path May 19-23 for Bike to Work Week, with a host of events to get your wheels spinning.

A schedule of the week’s events is available online and includes daily contests, worksite competitions and breakfast stops.

Join NAU’s Transportation Action Team on the bike path near Starbucks for a free breakfast Wednesday, May 21, featuring the Where’s the Food Truck serving hot breakfast burritos along with an assortment of fruit, pastries, coffee and juice.

Parking and Shuttle services will be on hand to do free bicycle registrations, the Bike HUB will have a mobile bike station for tune-ups and small repairs, NAU Police will have demonstrations on bicycle safety and locks, and the NAU Pedicab will be on hand for free rides around the square.

Cyclists who are NAU-bound should label their ride with a green bike sticker as the campus-wide roundup of abandoned bikes begins May 19. The stickers are available at Parking Services, the Union, Facility Services and the Health and Learning Center. For information, contact (928) 523-4313.
