Back in time with NAU

NAU Music Camp participants gather on campus in 1957 to score some practice time under the pines before a performance.

Let Inside NAU take you back in time this summer with tidbits of university history.

Camp music

Established in 1950 by music professor Jack Swartz, NAU Music Camp now attracts 700 budding musicians from around the country each year.

In 2007, the camp was renamed the Curry Summer Music Camp, honoring Pat B. Curry, a former chair of the Department of Music, who directed the camp for 24 years.
