Avoid thefts in our community

To help prevent theft, there are actions everyone can take to help ensure your belongings and university-owned property remain safe.  If you have a bicycle, e-bike or e-scooter, it is recommended that you use a U-lock instead of a cable lock to help deter theft. Additionally, NAUPD recommends that dorm rooms always remain locked, even when occupied or while sleeping.

Property theft can impact the educational experience from both the teaching and learning perspectives, in addition to affecting the safety of buildings and you on a personal level. If you see suspicious behavior that might be theft, report it to the NAU Police Department. Each of us can take an active role in stewardship for our NAU community.
