Arts and crafts fair to help United Way and holiday shoppers

Go holiday shopping and help the community at the same time during the annual Mountain Campus Holiday Arts & Crafts Fair to benefit United Way of Northern Arizona on Nov. 17 and 18 at the NAU Field House.

Admission is $1.50 for adults, $1 for students and free for children under 12. All admission fees and space rentals go to support the United Way. The fair runs from 9 a.m.- 6 p.m. Friday, and from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday.

The Mountain Campus Holiday Arts & Crafts Fair features live music, face-painting, Santa on Saturday afternoon, a juried arts and crafts show and more than 80 booths brimming with items made by local and regional artists.

An array of merchandise awaits visitors, including fine arts, hand-made clothes, country crafts, holiday crafts, wood art and furniture, stained and fused glass, quilts, unique jewelry, candles, natural products, dolls and food.

This is the sixth year for the fair, which in 2005 earned $8,888 for United Way. This year’s booth sales have already raised $10,000 for the annual fundraising campaign.
