Art Museum to highlight local talent

A new exhibit of work by local artists at the NAU Art Museum, “Flagstaff Fantasticals” opens Friday, April 20 and runs through May 31.

Artists in the exhibit are Brian Painter, an NAU associate professor of art; Chris Johnson, an NAU associate professor of graphic design; Rodrigo De Toledo, an NAU assistant professor in the School of Communication; Mike Frick; David Christiana; and alumni Fred Calleri and Chrissy Holland.

Artwork will range from paintings to sculpture, fine art prints and light boxes.

A free opening reception in conjunction with Flagstaff’s First Friday Art Walk is planned from 5:30-7:30 p.m. May 4. A shuttle will be available to take visitors from the Flagstaff Visitor’s Center to the NAU Art Museum from 5:15 to 7 p.m.
