Kicker Neil Rackers was among several representatives of the Arizona Cardinals who visited with 150 students, staff and parents of the Kinlani Flagstaff Bordertown Dormitory on March 14 to talk about the importance of staying in school and setting goals in life.

The dorm houses Flagstaff High School students from Navajo and Hopi reservations who are involved in NAU’s Educational Talent Search, a college readiness program that serves schools throughout northern Arizona.

“The importance of education to these professional athletes is a great inspiration to these students,” saidKim Kryger, a coordinator for the NAU program. “This certainly reinforced the importance of education and how it is the first step in achieving their goals and dreams.”
