NAU’s Campus Health Services will require appointments for vaccinations and tuberculosis tests beginning Nov. 3. Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to utilize the online appointment scheduler.

This policy change from walk-ins to scheduled appointments is expected to help Campus Health Services employees better manage the flow of patients, while providing timely service for people needing vaccinations and testing.

Cindy Roth, Campus Health Services Nursing director, said the medical clinic has seen a growth of 31 percent this semester and the change is needed to provide effectual patient care. She expects people needing vaccinations will appreciate reduced wait times with the new system.

When individuals show up to receive a flu shot or other vaccination without having an appointment, they will be asked to use the computers in the lobby to set a time for a future appointment.
