A Homecoming weekend to remember

The Traveling Molars make their way through NAU

NAU alumni, students, faculty, staff and friends of the university brought their energy and Lumberjack spirit to campus for the annual Homecoming celebration.

Events all week long led up to the Homecoming Day festivities featuring family-friendly activities, a colorful parade through campus and a victory for the NAU football team over Weber State.

Attendees lined the streets of NAU to watch the annual parade, which returned to campus for the first time in more than a decade. Participants included NAU President Rita Cheng, Homecoming royalty, NAU and high school marching bands, city officials and several student and community organizations who brought the Cirque du NAU theme to life. Students from NAU’s Dental Hygiene program won the best overall float competition.

Blue Key Honor Society has hosted and organized the parade since 1951. Crystae Rohman, Blue Key’s 2015 Homecoming coordinator, said, “The dedication and excitement from students and staff across NAU is what really led to an amazing parade this year and Blue Key can’t wait to continue our tradition at next year’s homecoming parade.”
