If you’ve ever dreamt of singing and acting onstage, or being behind the scenes helping with costumes, lighting and props, your opportunity has come.
NAU Theater and Theatrikos Theater Company are looking for actors, singers and dancers from the university and Flagstaff community for their co-production of Stephen Sondheim’s A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.
The show is a non-stop laugh-fest in which a crafty slave, Pseudolus, struggles to win the hand of a beautiful but slow-witted courtesan named Philia for his young master Hero, in exchange for his freedom.
Auditions will be held at 7 p.m. May 20 and 21 in the Clifford E. White Theatre. Call-backs will be May 22. Volunteer calls for back-stage crew will be held at 7 p.m. May 22 at the Studio Theater on the NAU campus.
The show will run at 8 p.m. July 5, 10, 11, 12, 17 18 and 19, and at 2 p.m. July 6 and 13 at the Clifford E. White Theatre.
