University Commencement volunteers and marshals are needed to serve for the Saturday ceremonies on May 9. Fill out this form to indicate your availability for Commencement no later than April 17.
Volunteering at commencement is supported and encouraged by the Office of the President, including flexing time when a staff member volunteers outside of their normal working hours.
10 a.m. : College of the Environment, Forestry, and Natural Sciences | Steve Sanghi College of Engineering
3 p.m. : College of Social and Behavioral Sciences | NAU Yuma
The volunteer time commitment includes:
Mandatory volunteer training: 11 a.m. to noon on Thursday, May 7
Skydome walkthrough (optional): Noon to 12:30 Thursday, May 7
Ceremony: Each ceremony is about 1.5-2 hours long. Total time commitment per ceremony is about four hours.
The marshal time commitment includes:
Mandatory marshal training: 2-3 p.m Thursday, May 7
Ceremony: Each ceremony is around 1.5-2 hours long. Total time commitment per ceremony is about four hours.
If you volunteer or marshal for both ceremonies, lunch is provided. Volunteers also will get a commencement volunteer tee.
