Before Valentine’s Day, see what Campus Health Services can do for you

Candy hearts that say "self-care matters" and "I heart counseling"

Valentine’s Day fact No. 1: Nearly 8 billion conversation hearts are sold every year.

Valentine’s Day fact No. 2: With the holiday of love just around the corner, Campus Health Services (CHS) has lots of great romance-related resources, along with some strategies to manage feelings of loneliness and isolation in the cold, dark weeks of February.

Sexual health resources

  • Did you know that CHS offers discreet, discounted STI testing for students? Fast and confidential Express Collect Testing costs $45 for chlamydia and gonorrhea testing and is not billed to insurance. Health Promotion also partners with Coconino County Health and Human Services to offer free HIV testing events every month.

Mental health resources

  • If you’re having relationship conflicts or feeling isolated or lonely this winter, Counseling Services has some great resources to offer. You can schedule an individual counseling appointment or join a support group through Counseling Services or use relationship counseling to help with conflict resolution, communication skills, sexual difficulty and more.

Connect with others

  • Join the Togetherall app for a safe and anonymous community of thousands of college students. It has tools to help manage anxiety, improve sleep and balance your thinking. Remember that Campus Health Services is here to support you, and we hope to see you soon!

“Reproductive health and relationship wellness are important components of overall wellbeing, and CHS offers a variety of services and programs to help students navigate this important aspect of their health,” said Melissa Griffin, director of Health Promotion. “College may be the first time students are navigating these issues on their own, and CHS is ready to help by providing a friendly, non-judgmental setting where students can explore relationship challenges and receive reproductive healthcare in a confidential space.”
