This Giving Tuesday, our community of Lumberjacks proved they have hearts of blue and gold!
Jacks on and off campus gave back, raising more than $137,000 to address the most urgent student needs and create meaningful change. Their December Axe of Kindness will fuel important environmental research, provide emergency assistance to students in need and help keep Louie’s Cupboard stocked, among many other things.
Here’s a breakdown of Jacks’ generous support on Giving Tuesday.
- Giving Tuesday raised $137,940 from 264 donors, passing last year’s total by $8,592.
- Top areas of impact:
- College of the Environment, Forestry, and Natural Sciences ($12,165)
- Louie’s Cupboard ($11,525, unlocking an additional $50,000 gift from Terence and Robin Roche—which equates to 4,101 Grab & Go bags of groceries!)
