- Diana Calvo Martinez, an assistant professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, Construction Management, and Environmental Engineering, was recognized at the Pete C. García Victoria Foundation’s 16th Annual Arizona Higher Education Awards in September. Martinez earned the foundation’s Dr. William Yslas Vélez STEM Award and was nominated by NAU President José Luis Cruz Rivera, who received the award in 2022.
