The 7th Annual Student Water Symposium (SWS) will run from April 10-12 and is now accepting abstracts covering any water-related topics. Students interested in participating must submit their abstracts by Friday, March 29.
The SWS is a student-organized, campus–wide event established in 2018 with the support of Denielle Perry, assistant professor in the School of Earth and Sustainability. This year’s theme is the freshwater challenge, and it seeks to bring awareness to global targets on water, climate and nature.
“The symposium aims to connect the campus with the greater Flagstaff community for students to share their timely research with the public and network with professionals,” said Ericka Hubbard, president of the Student Water Symposium.
NAU encourages undergraduate and graduate students from all disciplines to collaborate and share their water-related research. Presentations must be in poster form or a 15-minute oral presentation. Prizes will be awarded to the top three presentations at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
