NAU’s Physical Therapy doctoral program is offering free PT appointments every Friday for three consecutive weeks. This service is intended to focus on patients with musculoskeletal complaints, such as strains, sprains, aches and pains.
The free clinic is a valuable learning experience for students, who are able to apply their skills with patients in a professional setting. The clinic provides relief to patients who are in pain or are not able to participate in running, hiking, sports or even walking, gardening or other regular activities because of pain.
These appointments will be provided by a doctoral student under the direct supervision of the program’s licensed physical therapists. Appointments start on Sept. 10 and run through November. Patients should plan for an appointment on three consecutive Fridays. Each appointment is one hour long and begins at either 9:30 a.m., 10:45 a.m., 1 p.m., 2:15 p.m. or 3:30 p.m. Appointments will be located in the College of Health and Human Services, Building 66.
Patients should wear comfortable clothing. All services are free and open to all NAU faculty, staff, students and the entire Flagstaff community that are 18 years old or older. No insurance is needed.
