Nominations are now open for the 2019 Research and Creative Activity Awards (RCA). The awards, which the Office of the President sponsors in conjunction with the Office of the Vice President of Research, allows each academic department to nominate one individual or work for each of the award categories through their department chair. The deadline for submissions has been moved to 5 p.m. Dec. 18.
- Most Promising New Research Scholar
- Most Promising New Artistic or Creative Scholar
- Most Promising Graduate Student Research Scholar
- Most Promising Graduate Artistic or Creative Scholar
- Graduate Research Mentorship
- Graduate Artistic or Creative Work Mentorship
- Most Significant Research/Scholarly Work
- Most Significant Artistic/Creative Work
- Most Significant Innovation in Technology Transfer or Commercialization
The President’s Office and Office of the Provost also are also seeking nominations for faculty awards. Each award has a different deadline:
- NAU President’s Award for Faculty and Academic Professionals—March 1
- NAU Award for Excellence in Mentoring Undergraduate Scholarship—March 1
- NAU Award for Liberal Studies Excellence—March 8
- NAU Award for Global Learning (Faculty Excellence)—March 25
- NAU Award for Global Learning (Departmental Excellence)—March 25
- NAU Award for Excellence in Curricular Innovation—March 26
- NAU College Teachers of the Year—Contact the specific college Dean’s Office
Award recipients will be recognized at the President’s Award Ceremony at the High Country Conference Center on April 30.
