- An article by Barbara Veltri, associate professor in the College of Education, recently was published in the Journal of International Social Studies. The article,“Impariamo Insieme in Italia (Learning Together in Italy) via Scambio d’Instruzione (through instructional exchange)” describes the on-site collaboration between Veltri, NAU teacher candidates and public school 8th grade history students during the Siena Semester Abroad Program. Veltri, selected to the Fulbright Specialist Roster earlier this year, was also named to the Board of Directors for the Arizona chapter of the U.S. Fulbright Association in August.
Harun Mehmedinovic, assistant professor of practice in the School of Communication, and Los Angeles filmmaker Gavin Heffernan were selected by The Third Street Company to create video content for The Rolling Stone’s ZIP CODE tour. The duo’s video for the song Moonlight Mile included “star trail” timelapses and surreal long exposure pictures that were captured in dark sky locations, including northern Arizona.
