NAU officials, dignitaries, students and friends of the university gathered Friday, Oct. 24 to celebrate the grand opening of the newly remodeled Veterans Success Center.
The center is a home away from home where veterans can connect with other veterans. It features a service area, kitchenette, recreation center and multipurpose computer lab. The staff provides both direct service and referrals to a number of campus and community resources for student veterans.
“This newly remodeled Veterans Student Success Center is a clear demonstration of the value we place in our student veterans,” NAU’s President Rita Cheng said. “Through the hard work and dedication of our staff and students, we have created a one-stop shop that not only eases the transition to the university but provides a pathway for success at NAU.”
