The International Conference on Teaching Statistics, being held for the first time in the United States and hosted by Northern Arizona University, begins Sunday, July 13, at the High Country Conference Center.
The conference opens with a 6 p.m. ceremony in Prochnow Auditorium, followed by a reception on the Historic North Quad. Provost Laura Huenneke will welcome more than 500 attendees, about half visiting internationally from 41 countries.
Five days of talks will cover all aspects of statistical education, from kindergarten to 12th grade, college teaching at all levels and the teaching of statistics in the workplace. Each day of the conference begins with a keynote speaker, followed by three blocks of simultaneous breakout sessions.
