With thousands of graduates, families and guests attending commencement ceremonies at the Skydome on Friday, some temporary traffic changes will go into effect.
The ceremonies begin at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. with some receptions prior to and following the ceremonies.
To ease traffic flow, McConnell Drive, San Francisco Street and Pine Knoll Drive near the dome will be designated one way for all the ceremonies. The route will run clockwise around the dome.
A short two-way route will run on Pine Knoll only for individuals arriving on campus from I-17 and 40 and parking in P62, near the Forestry building.
Shuttles will run from P62 and P7 (adjacent to the Wall Aquatic Center), as well as from stops along Knoles Drive (in front of Performing and Fine Arts; south of Ashurst), and San Francisco Street (P28 near the Bookstore and P31A near Sechrist Hall). At P31A, San Francisco will be closed except for shuttles and emergency traffic.
NAU police officers and staff will be on hand to help with traffic flow. To view a map of the traffic patterns, click here.
