The fourth annual “Providing Warmth to the Community” winter clothing drive, sponsored by NAU’s Classified Staff Advisory Council, will run through Nov. 9.
Organizers are hoping to collect new and gently used men’s, women’s and chidren’s coats, gloves, scarves, hats, sweats, pants, tops, socks, boots and other assorted warm clothing items. Donations will benefit Sunshine Rescue Mission, Hope Cottage Women and Children’s Mission, Sharon Manor and Northland Family Help Center.
Last year more than 4,500 pieces of warm clothing were collected and distributed through the clothing drive.
Collection boxes are located across NAU’s Flagstaff campus, including at the Gammage building, the University Union, North Union, the Blome building, North Morton Hall, Forestry, Fronske Health Center, Bury Hall, the NAU Bookstore, Adel Math Center, Eastburn Education, Cline Library, Gateway Center, Babbitt Administrative Center, ITS, the Engineering building, the Social and Behavioral Sciences building, Health Professions and the College of Business Administration, among others.
