The Office of Student Life is asking faculty and staff mentors to encourage outstanding graduating seniors to apply for the Gold Axe Award by Oct. 18 at 5 p.m.
The Gold Axe Award is presented each semester to seniors who have made outstanding contributions to the university in academic performance, service and extracurricular activities.
“Because it is such a prestigious and highly recognized award, most recipients list this honor on their resume throughout their professional career,” said Kevin Gemoets, coordinator in the Office of Student Life.
Applications can be downloaded at http://www4.nau.edu/stulife/recognition.htm.
Students who receive the Gold Axe Award will be honored at a reception Nov. 15.
