The Arizona Board of Regents has granted approval for Northern Arizona University’s bachelor’s degree in athletic training to begin transitioning to a master’s of science degree in athletic training.
The program’s last class of bachelor’s students will complete their degrees in May 2016.
Applicants for the master’s program will be considered in spring of 2014, and accepted students will begin classes that summer.
“This move is in line with the direction of the profession nationally and will also keep our graduates competitive in the marketplace,” said Debbie Craig, associate professor and program director. “We are excited about the move and anticipate significant growth in the program.”
Application requirements and information are available on the program website.
