Northern Arizona University Television Services has earned seven Emmy nominations from the Rocky Mountain Southwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
A promotional spot produced for the Ecological Restoration Institute garnered nominations in five categories, including best community or public service announcement, best photography, best post-production directing, best editing and best audio. The ERI production team included Jerry Anderfuren, Chris Boyes, Bonnie Stevens and Jesse Vaughan.
The series, What’s Cooking, earned a nomination in the category of best arts/entertainment program.What’s Cooking was produced by Cynthia Catizone, hosted by Mitch Strohman with video production work by Boyes and Anderfuren. Anderfuren also earned nominations for his work as photographer on the ERI project and as producer of Camp Soaring Eagle, nominated in the best community affairs feature category.
The seven nominations expand on the four nominations collected by Television Services in 2009. The Rocky Mountain Southwest Chapter is a member of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, serving Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Wyoming and El Centro, Calif. The 2010 Rocky Mountain Emmy Awards will be announced on Oct. 9, at the Sheraton Phoenix Downtown.
