Catch the NAU shuttle to and from campus

The NAU Mountain Campus Transit is offering a new service that will make transportation to and from campus easier for employees while helping the environment.

Employees can now catch a shuttle running both ways from the Mountain Line Phoenix Avenue Transfer Center to the bus shelter behind the Physical Sciences building, located on the corner of Beaver Street and Franklin Avenue.

The shuttle runs from 7 to 8:15 a.m. and 3 to 5:15 p.m. From there, employees can catch a Route 2 bus to go south.

Parking Services Update
For vehicles illegally parked in meters for extended periods of time, the fine has been increased to $35.
In addition, all financial transactions with Parking Services will now be accepted at the Bursar’s office and online through LOUIE. The last day financial transactions will be accepted at the Parking Services office is Jan. 30.

“The vast majority of our campus’ carbon footprint is from transportation, so anything that we can do to minimize transportation impacts is positive,” said Heather Farley, program coordinator for the Office of Sustainability. “Getting cars off the campus also encourages more people to walk, bike or take the on-campus bus.”

The Office of Sustainability also has distributed more than 550 “ecoPasses” passes to faculty and staff. An ecoPass is an unlimited bus pass for all full and part-time faculty and staff.
