NAU Wind Symphony
On March 2, the Northern Arizona University Wind Symphony will perform its spring concert, “Stravinsky and Friends.”
The concert will feature two School of Music faculty members, Rita Borden, performing Stravinsky’s “Concerto for Piano and Wind Instruments,” and Louise Scott, who will be featured in the “Romance” movement of “The Gadfly Suite.”
The concert includes “La Procession Du Rocio,” composed by Joaquin Turina, and “The Gadfly Suite” composed by Dmitri Shostakovich, both of whom were heavily influenced by Stravinsky.

NAU’s School of Music will be hosting several celebratory year-end performances this week.
- Brigham Young University Singers will perform alongside NAU’s Shrine of Ages Choir at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 7. Tickets are $20 for adults; $15 for seniors; $10 for NAU faculty and staff; and $8 for children and students with a valid NAU ID.

The NAU Wind Symphony will perform at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, at Ardrey Memorial Auditorium on the Flagstaff campus.
Led by conductor and NAU School of Music Professor Daniel Schmidt, the concert includes works by Percy Grainger, Gustav Holst, Giacomo Puccini and Dmitry Shostakovich.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for seniors, NAU faculty and staff. Children and students with a valid NAU ID are free.
