Summer youth recreational programs announced

Mountain Jacks Kids Camps Northern Arizona Campus Recreation Services

Northern Arizona University is once again offering its popular summer day camps through Campus Recreation Services.

The half- and full-day camps offer engaging and educational activities for children in preschool through eighth grade. Scheduling aligns with NAU’s two five-week Summer Sessions: June 2 to July 3 and July 7 to Aug. 8. Registration is currently open for NAU students and begins Monday, May 5, for faculty, staff and the public.

Mountain Jacks Kids Camp
 Children in grades PreK to 5 can engage their mind while keeping physically active. The PreK camp is offered in the morning session only, from 7 a.m. to noon; campers in kindergarten through fifth grade may enroll in either the half-day program or for full days, from 7 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.

Explorers Camp 
Sixth through eighth graders can explore Northern Arizona University, Flagstaff and the surrounding community through adventure and experiential education. Summer Program Leaders and professional staff provide leadership and skills development in a fun and engaging atmosphere. Camp is held Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. Half-day options and weekly enrollments also are available.
