- Graduate student David Sinclair took home first place in the men’s division of the 44th Imogene Pass Run on Sept. 8. With a tag line of “An extremely difficult race for well-prepared athletes,” the 17.1 mile run through the western San Juan mountains of Colorado encompasses more than a vertical mile of elevation gain. Out of 1,214 finishers (149 of which were from Flagstaff), Sinclair finished first at 2:13:23. “I’m definitely proud to represent Flagstaff and it was awesome to have a large contingent of Flagstaff runners at the race,” he said. Flagstaff resident Katie McGee took home first for the women’s division—the third time in seven years that Flagstaff runners swept the men’s and women’s overall titles.
