  • NAU Summer Bug Camp manager Lindsie McCabe received an Entomological Foundation grant that will provide camp scholarships for girls ages 6-10 and mentorships for two high school girls. The fund is from Young Women in Science, which supports projects that help increase girls’ participation in science. Grants are given out based on the project concept, planning and the expected impact.
  • Volleyball player Heaven Harris was named the season’s first Big Sky Defensive Player of the Week. This is her second time earning the title. She earned the title by having 22 blocks in the past four games. She also had 54 kills within the four games, including a career high of 19 when the team played UC Davis.
