  • Undergraduate researcher Jacque Lyman, who works in the Bat Ecology and Genetics Lab, received a student travel award to present her DNA barcoding results at a local conference. Lyman presented her research at the 2018 Arizona Native Plant Society Meeting on July 28 in Sierra Vista. Her research consisted of DNA barcoding of plant species that are important to the endangered New Mexico jumping mouse and highlighted the importance of cataloging the genetic diversity of southwestern native flora.
  • Five NAU students were honored by the Rocky Mountain Emmy Awards. Eric Josheph Lynch, Spenser Williamson, Nathaniel Jones, Mateo Marquez and Daniel Brown Munoz were recognized for their outstanding work on “Faerie” in the category College Long Form: Fiction.
