  • A vaccine of which Northern Arizona University is co-owner is part of the continuing fight against hard-to-treat bacterial infections. The vaccine, which NAU co-owns with the University of Maryland, Baltimore, clears more of the infection than the standard treatment of antibiotic-resistant Staphylococcus aureus. “University Of Maryland, Baltimore And Serenta Team Up To Fight Staph Infections” describes how UMB granted global licensing rights for this technology to aid in the fight against Staph-induced infections.
  • Northern Arizona University was ranked in the Top 250 Public Colleges that Offer Freshmen the Most Financial Aid, according to the Student Loan Report. Rankings are based on the average financial aid awarded to full-time, degree-seeking freshmen on a per-need basis.
  • U.S. News & World Report ranked a number of Northern Arizona University’s online programs in its survey of more than 1,200 programs. NAU’s online graduate nursing program was ranked No. 102, the online graduate education program was No. 113, and online bachelor’s programs ranked No. 226 out of more than 1,000 programs.
