Registration is now open for Northern Arizona University’s Centennial Forest Environmental Education Programs annual youth summer camp.
The program focuses on “nurturing the love of nature” while offering campers opportunities to learn about forests, wildlife and science through hands-on experiential lessons delivered by NAU students serving as camp counselors, cooks and role models.
Participants will learn about the beauty and importance of forests, how nature impacts their lives and future career paths and land ethic and stewardship skills through a series of fun and engaging experiences that develop a spirit of community service.
There are three summer programs in which children can participate; Junior Forester Academy (ages 9-10), Senior Forester Academy (ages 11-12) and the Outdoor Leadership Academy (ages 13-17). For more information contact Cheryl.Miller@nau.eduor visit the NAU Centennial Forest website.
