NAU President Rita Cheng engaged in advocacy efforts in Washington, D.C., this week, including visits with Arizona’s Congressional delegation and federal agency administrators. The meetings were related to university priorities and funding for research, including forest health initiatives.
“Our relationships with members of the delegation and federal agency leaders are an important part of NAU’s success,” Cheng said. “Our conversations provided opportunities to share the significant impact our university has in Arizona, the nation and the world. And it was wonderful to visit with Lumberjacks across the country who are deeply connected to NAU.”
The president also visited with alumni, donors and parents of current and prospective students.
