With its proximity to half a dozen national parks, it should be no surprise that Northern Arizona University is home to one of only a few park ranger training programs in the country. The program is intense, requiring physical fitness training, night and weekend sessions and classes five days a week during the semester, and students are given real-life training scenarios to prepare them for the task.
The certification is available in conjunction with a bachelor’s degree program or as a non-credit option for people who have already earned a bachelor’s degree.
