REMINDER: Be aware of Internet and phone scams and report suspicious messages to ITS

NAU ITS

Information Technology Services (ITS) has seen a resurgence in cases of NAU students being targeted by job offer scams. We encourage students to utilize Handshake, NAU’s job search and recruitment platform, when looking for employment. Remember: never send sensitive date via email and do not click on or respond to suspicious emails. Report a suspicious email to ITS here.

Additionally, email scams often accompany the holidays, and with the news of COVID vaccines people should be extra careful clicking links in emails. Visit the ITS website for more information on how to keep your technology and information safe.

ITS is also seeing a lot of phishing email impersonating NAU employees that target employees working under them. Verify in-person or via a known secure channel any requests coming from a superior having to do with finances or sensitive information. Scammers commonly use this approach to obtain gift cards or money.
