Calling all Jacks: Enter float in Homecoming parade, join NAU history of festivity

2016 homecoming parade

NAU’s Blue Key Honor Society invites clubs, organizations, businesses and groups from the university and Flagstaff communities to show their True Blue pride by entering a float in the annual Homecoming parade on Oct. 28. Beginning at 11 a.m., the cavalcade will make its way around NAU’s perimeter as part of the Homecoming celebrations that have been tradition at the school since 1924.

The theme of this year’s Homecoming is “Jacks Looking Back.” An information session will be held 6 p.m. Oct. 10 (location TBA), to discuss details such as design ideas, float construction and parade guidelines. At least one member of each group entering a float must attend the information session.

There is no cost to be in the parade, and registration is available to groups of on-campus participants or off-campus participants. The completed forms must be submitted online or returned to the Blue Key box in the ASNAU office (upstairs in the University Union) by Oct. 15.

Visit the NAU Homecoming website or contact Arianna Strick at BlueKeyHomecoming@nau.edu for more information.
