Northern Arizona University will have its annual Kiddie Clinic from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 7 at the NAU Health Professions Building, second floor. The Kiddie Clinic is open to all children ages 2-15, regardless of their family’s income.
The Department of Dental Hygiene has been putting on the annual Kiddie Clinic for more than 10 years to provide non-insured members of the public discounted services they otherwise would not have been able to afford.
This service, while providing all 65 dental hygiene students hands-on experience and a way to give back to the community, also raises money for the students’ graduation events. Nursing and hearing and speech students participate as well, providing interprofessional education and services on other floors.
The Kiddie Clinic offers X-rays, dental exams, cleanings, oral hygiene education and fluoride for $25 and $5 per tooth sealant.
