With hopes of strengthening NAU’s partnerships, President Rita Cheng traveled to Japan over spring break. During this important visit President Cheng and Daniel Palm, interim executive director of the Center for International Education, met with Kansai University and Kyushu University administrators to discuss new and ongoing collaborative efforts and signed agreements reaffirming NAU’s commitment to broadening student programming and joint research opportunities.
Ten Interdisciplinary Global Program (IGP) students are planning to study at these institutions for the 2017-2018 academic year and participate in the program, which includes a semester of study as well as a semester of internship at the university or in a local Japanese company.
